Pink - Dear Mr. President

Admittedly, I've never been a fan of the singer Pink. But today, my Mom emailed me the link to this YouTube video that took my attention quite a bit. Have a look...

I like the lyrics but it's a bit weird seeing them coming out of Pink..

It's nice, but I wonder how much difference it made.

Why? Because he thinks that if you help the rich then they will help everyone else, he thinks he's failed when he hasn't gone far enough.

The homeless on the streets? He doesn't think it's his job, that local people should take them in and look after them, although I don't know how many homeless people there are local to him.

Hate gay people? He doesn't, he just doesn't want them making alternative families. But that's not to say he has stood up to those who do, he's let them get on with it.

Knowing why an "enemy" thinks the way they do lets you understand where they are wrong, and perhaps change them. His "supply side economics" doesn't understand the true source of supply, creative intelligent hard working people, of which there are thousands in the USA, and many more who could become them with more help. People shouldn't work to get to "the top", they should work to help people, and to support themselves.

That man has done the best he's known, and those who have known better have not confronted him with the truth, they've just insulted him or fawned over him. I can understand why he does what he does.

Oh and nice blog by the way!
