Honda’s New Personal Mobility Device

I was just checking the latest ASIMO news when I came across U3-X, Honda’s new personal mobility device. Neat little device that you can comfortably sit on and move around, with adjustable speed and easy navigation through body gestures. Looks pretty kool to me!

I’ll be collecting more information here, as I find it…

Sleepthief - Labyrinthine Heart

51vcodgxxwl_ss500__117 Oh I just have to shout out my feelings towards Sleepthief’s 2009 album right now, and really really loud too! =) The new album called “Labyrinthine Heart” is… well… what is it exactly… I don’t know! I don’t have the words to describe the beauty of this collection! I just know that there are tracks in here [“Labyrinthine Heart” and “Here I Confess” for example] that make me feel like my soul is having a trip to a different place, every single time I listen to them. Oh God… this is what I call music!

Sleepthief’s first album, called “The Dawnseeker” has also been one of my favorites, specially the track “Eurydice”. I came across “The Dawnseeker” early last year, and since then I had been impatiently waiting for more. Listening to “Labyrinthine Heart” now, I have to say that it’s well worth the wait. =)

Oooohh I’m enjoying this way too much…..

Melange / Verse - Updates

I just uploaded a load of new music to Melange, which you can find under the 2 new playlists: Intromission and Retrovibes. As you can probably guess, it’s all Demoscene music. =) Enjoy!

I also added a few new features to Verse, including a number of new ways of uploading multiple files to the wiki, an automatic image gallery that retrieves all the images inside a category and creates a thumbnail gallery of them, and a calendar extension. Make sure to check’em out! ;)

Robots & Navigation

I just came across a couple of very interesting videos on this article on BotJunkies. Both videos display pretty amazing navigation capabilities in robots, and the ability to recognize and avoid the obstacles, even moving ones. Most of the processing equipment for the HRP-2 robot are off board though, which is why I find ASIMO still a lot cooler. ;)
